In 1985 Charles Cole, Five Ten's founder and President, set out to develop a rubber that would actually improve climbing by increasing the amount of body weight it could bear before its bond broke away from steep rock faces. After several years of research, trial, error, experimentation and lots of trips to Joshua Tree, Stealth rubber was born.
