Generally speaking I have been wearing these as casual shoes, but they are solid all around. They are great for biking when I don't use clipless pedals. I have not used them for this yet, but I am sure they would be fine for some low grade climbing as well.
You can also wear them with or without socks, they don't seem to get smelly like normal climbing shoes.
The only thing I don't really like about them is the split tongue. It is not too annoying, just a little odd.
