Comments about Eagles Nest Outfitters Guardian Bug Net:

I've been hammocking in my ENO for years and I LOVE it... Absolutely one of the greatest outdoor products! This summer I went hammocking a couple times and finally got fed up with always getting eaten alive, so I got the ENO bug net and it really is a great product! The netting is fine enough that no bugs will get in, and it hangs far enough below the hammock that no bugs can bite you through the hammock.

All the good parts aside, I do have a few issues with it... First off, it does not breathe too well. Part of this is that I live in Georgia and this summer has been a scorcher with temps well over 100 and humidity off the charts (as it always is down here..) but because the netting is so fine, it does trap a lot of heat--especially if you have two people in the hammock... And you MUST use the string--or your own string as it's not very long... If you don't use the string to hold it up, when you sit in the hammock the net will sag a lot and become suffocatingly close to you..

Secondly, it is incredibly hard to get into the hammock with the bug net. I don't know why ENO decided to make the opening vertical, but it would be far easier to get in the hammock--especially when using with two people--if it was a horizontal door... It makes the already complicated ballet of getting two people into an ENO into an awkward tango that you wouldn't want to attempt with anyone you're not VERY comfortable with...

All that aside, it still is a great product! If your concern is keeping the bugs away, look no further. The net is great and lightweight as all ENO products are and will definitely keep you bug free!
