With an oversized front panel opening for easy packing and unpacking and built in and stowable Bi-Tech™ Boot Box that separates the dirty shoes from the clean gear. Eagle Creek also uses strategic material blocking, which is the use of laminated materials and front bumper protection for superb durability.

Just bought this bag as my primary piece of travel luggage for my wife and I. We used it on a 10 day trip to SF and Yosemite. We toted most of our hiking gear and bulky clothes in this bag and our other clothes in our personal carry on bags. This was the only bag we checked for the trip. It fits a lot of stuff and it is very durable. I purchased this bag after having an Eagle Creek backpack that is still in use after over 10 years. Eagle Creek makes rock solid gear. The only con that I see is storing the bag once you are home. Due to its design, it cannot be squished flat to store under a bed.

As a six year resident of a third world country, and a vagabond while on vacation, durability is a key feature of luggage. The advent of children got me over the hurdle of luggage with wheels, and this bag is both easy to handle and very durable. It's just the right size for current airline weight limits--I have the larger ORV also, and it's more or less impossible to pack properly because it gets too heavy.
