Doc's Pro Plugs-Vented with a leash are designed to prevent healthy uninjured eardrums from swimmers ear and reduce ruptured eardrums.  Developed and designed by a surfing physician since 1977, the Pro Plugs help to equalize ears while under water, and are the only ear plug that does not disrupt earwax or obstruct the canal.

Because the Pro Plug has a vent, a compressed air column can escape, and with a leash you can attach to your vest or shirt, you won't lose them if they are to fall out.

  • Prevent swimmers ear and impacted eardrums

Comments about Doc's Pro Plugs Vented Ear Plug with leash:

I was hoping that I could use these for swimming laps, kayaking, and possibly some noise protection during motorcycle rides. I got the large size after trying out the sample pack. My first test was on the river when I rolled over in some moving water. Water entered my ears around the edges. Then I tested it swimming. Swimming was more successful than kayaking since there was less pressure on my ears from the water. There was still a need to take them off occasionally to let the water that made it through back out.

I'm not going to knock them too hard since they do work great for mild noise protection and OK for low pressure water activity. Also, the shape of the plug didn't seem to work ideally with the shape of my ear, so it could work much better for someone else.
