Comments about Quantum 70+10 Backpack:
The Quantum 70 was out of stock, but I ended up getting a Quantum 55. It was a great pack to take for a 2 week Italian adventure. The zip-off day pack is very handy for day excursions from a hotel or hostel. The built in rain fly works great for tossing your pack onto an airplane.
The ability to pack from the front or the top is also very useful. I can imagine that it would be a fine back to take trekking across the countryside.
The zippers on the bottom compartment can be a bit tricky to open and close, but this is a minor inconvenience.
