Comments about Deuter Packs Kid Comfort III Carrier 2013:

A friend of mine recommended the the Kid Comfort to me, and it has been an outstanding purchase. I've got a nine month old girl and we love the outdoors. Strollers aren't particularly condusive to rough terrain, or even a bumpy yard for that matter, so the Kid Comfort III is really a cool product. The rugrat loves it just as much as I do. She's got plenty of room to look around, and everything interests her. The hardest part is putting the backpack on with a 20 pound lump of kid in the back. It's not terribly difficult, but I would imagine I'll have to start putting her on the tailgate of my truck as she gets bigger. That's a minor and, as far as I can tell, unavoidable inconvenience though if there's no one around to help. We've really enjoyed the KCIII, and we use it all the time.

Comments about Deuter Packs Kid Comfort III Carrier 2013:

This is very comfortable, very sturdy and has ample storage. The ONE shortfall is that my baby's face gets chafed by rubbing against the nylon pad in front of his face. Would benefit from a less abrasive cover. Other than that, worth every penny.

Comments about Deuter Packs Kid Comfort III Carrier 2013:

My son and daughter-in-law are avid outdoor adventurers and hikers. They hate to leave the baby "Marin" behind as they're on the go quite a bit. I got the Deuter III for them specifically for an extensive hiking trip they were going to take in the mts. of Oregon and Washington....(With their old baby backpack my son who's 6-feet tall and muscular always strained to take his 16-month old son on long hikes uphill because the weight was so unevenly distributed...The Deuter III was the perfect answer. The baby enjoys the hikes too because he's comfortably supported.

Sorry it took me so long to dig up this info! Maximum weight for child + gear in a Kid Comfort (all models) is 48 pounds.
