I have used many different packs for everything ranging from hiking to alpine climbing to technical search and rescue ventures. The Deuter guide 45 is the best I have ever worn. It is ultra comfortable and has practical features. It excells on alpine ice routes and is a joy to wear while kicking steps up a steep couloir while packing my tele boards on the sides. Sleek, durable, intelligent. I have no regrets with purchasing this pack. I highly recommend it as being THE pack to own for this size range.
