The ATC Boot Sock Cushion is a high density cushioned sock that provides support for the bottom of your foot and around the shin. Merino wool is shrink treated to get a great fitting sock that won't bunch or roll up. Support for your arches is provided with an elastic band that wraps comfortably around your foot, and invisible seams eliminates any irritation or the possibility of blisters.

Great socks. i took them backpacking a few days ago and they preformed very well in the Smoky Mountains where i put them to the test in the ice, rain and finally the snow. I Wore high top light weight hiking boots and shorts and these socks and put my pants away, because the socks were so amazing
