How to properly clean your Chacos
e are not chemists nor rocket scientists, but we wear our Chacos constantly, and we know what works and what doesn’t. We also believe in helping you maintain your investment to keep your Chacos going for years. Our suggestions are low-impact, safe methods and will not delaminate the rubber, nor cause the webbing to crack or fade.
Chaco Sandals: the unofficial official recovery sandal of the Rock/Creek Race Team
If you’ve seen members of the Rock/Creek Race Team at trail races around the country, you’ve probably seen more than one pair of Chacos, and that’s no accident. Chaco isn’t an official sponsor of our Race Team, but so many of our runners wear Chacos before and after racing that we’re going to go ahead and call them an unofficial one...
Rock/Creek & Chaco Sandals donate $3,000 to plant trees in Chattanooga
The $3,000 will fund the planting of 18 trees in two sections of median on Dallas Road in Chattanooga. The species selected for planting is an American Elm cultivar called “Princeton,” bred for its resistance to Dutch Elm Disease. By selecting the American Elm, we’re re-introducing a native tree to the urban landscape...

I wear these just about everyday!!! I work in childcare AND we're expecting twins... so I need my feet to feel comfortable and unrestricted since I chase wee ones and I'm on my feet all day. I like the fact that they're adjustable, a plus when you're not too sure if your feet are gonna feel normal or the size of melons. They totally fit my style, and my comfort zone. I'm pretty sure I'd buy these again...even if they are made in China... and that's a toughie for me, since we try to go as homegrown as possible.
All in all, I completely dig these shoes.

I like the original Chacos...I am not a fan of these ZONG sandals...they hurt my feet, yet my first pair with the back strap was heavenly! Not sure what is wrong...they are the same size and everything. I have now worn them a few times thinking they would break in, but they still are uncomfortable. :(

Comments about Chaco Sandals Zong Sandals (Women's) - 2008:
I am a runner and a friend recommended these as a slip-on pair after our long runs. Well, I am sold. I went to New York for 4 days and these were the only pair of shoes I wore while I was there. Bought a pair for my daughter and "Had" to by a pair for my Mom for her birthday. She kept wanting to borrow my Chaco:)I throw these in the wash and then let them air dry. Love, Love, Love mine.

Chacos always need a little adjustment time, but it's well worth the effort to get them to fit just right!!

Comments about Chaco Sandals Zong Sandals (Women's) - 2008:
I'm very flat footed so these shoes have wonderful arch support and the sole is comfortable and thick so walking around all day my feet never hurt. I love that they can be washed in the washer with my clothes and they come out looking brand new. I have this pair and another pair from last year, different styles and colors makes me happy and gives me some variety. I recommend these shoes to everyone!
Also, to break them in faster, use the Bandaid foot friction block to rub inside on the straps. They soften up to perfection after the second day of rubbing the friction block on them.

Comments about Zong Sandals (Women's):
I love the look and feel of this sandal on my foot, and I own two other pairs of Chacos, but none with the toe strap. Adjustable straps are a great feature, because my feet are very narrow; traditional sandals are very sloppy on my foot. The only problem I have with this sandal is that as I walk the toe strap tends to tighten and become uncomfortable. I have found that I can comfortably walk around town or the grocery store, but anything more aggressive is uncomfortable on my big toes!

Comments about Zong Sandals (Women's):
Good fit & great arch support BUT the arch strap loosens and the toe strap tightens (strangling my big toe!)as I walk so every 100mtrs or so I have to re-adjust the straps...V disappointing!
