I can't say enough good things about the chaco Z/1...these sandals rock. I literally live in mine when the weather's warm (and sometimes when it's not). They have great support, and NO VELCRO to wear out! My old velcro sandals (I won't name names) used to get gunked up with sand at the beach, and generally would just wear out quickly. After a while the velcro simply wouldn't stick so the sandals wouldn't stay on my feet. Not a problem with Chacos. They are full adjustable, so they'll fit almost anybody, and they last forever. I'm not crazy about having something around my big toe, so I prefer the Z/1 over the Z/2. I have a pair of the flips too, and love them just as much. Highly recommended.

My husband loves his Chacos, which made me want to have a pair; however, they are not a good fit for me. I have to continuously tighten the strap. The portion across the toe loosens, causing me to trip on the tip of the shoe. May be something unique to me. I normally buy wide shoes but these wides may be a bit too wide.

These are great because I can wear to work year-round - just add socks in winter. When dirty, just rinse with a little soap. I have wide feet and it's hard to find anything comfortable. These are the next best thing to going barefoot, but with support.

Got these Chacos after many of my fellow Kamp staff at Kanakuk Kamps recommended them. Then my parents (late 60s) each got a pair and loved 'em. They are great for walking in the city too, as I live close to Chicago and have worn them for miles pounding the concrete! Super support for dirt, sand, grass and concrete. Rock Creek has the best price too!

This is awesome shoe and requires no break-in to be comfortable. Only issue I have is it may have slightly too much arch support for me personally. However, I love the fully adjustable straps and versitility of this shoe!

I purchased my Chacos Z/1 Unaweeps for a ten day trip in Oregon. They were great for traveling (which we did a LOT); they fit easily in a suitcase and go with just about anything. They were great even in the cold weather because they could be worn with socks and jeans. Great hiking shoes-very good sole on rocky terrain and good for crossing creeks and such. A+++
