The Hipthong Sandal by Chaco is a highly versatile pair of flip flops/sandals. Designed as a flip, but is supported with two cross straps to make sure you don't lose your shoes when hopping boulders, going to that outdoor wedding or just getting to and from school.
Chaco's BioCentric footbed ensures a supported, comfortable stride in any activity and as a result, has been awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).
Chaco focuses on reducing waste and minimizing its enviromental footprint with its EcoTread, a durable outsole made of 25% recycled rubber.

This is my 3rd pair of hipthongs - and I really want the blue ones, too! I bought my first pair about 4 years ago, and they're still as good as new. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the brown ones I just bought aren't solid. I wish they had been available without the orange and white stripes (thread).

I wanted to replace a pair of the Zong style sandals, and tried these. The Zong toe loop would slip and needed constant readjusting, but were very comfortable otherwise. The Hipthong eliminates the problem, and are my new favorites. I have narrow, flat feet, so the adjustable straps and firm arch work well for me.

This is my sixth pair of Chaco sandals, third for Hipthongs - collected over at least six years. None have worn out. By adjusting the straps I can make them fit my narrow, flat feet. They have been around the world - gone to the opera in Manos, Brazil and waded in the surf in Goa, India. Now that I have moved to Tucson, AZ, the Flip Flop Capital of the world, I wear them constantly. These are the only flip flop type of shoe that will stay on my feet and give me enough support to walk properly.

Love them! Stay on like glue and they don't make that irritating slapping sound when you walk. But, I have bruise marks from the second set of straps after a long festival day. Maybe wear them for an intermediate period of time before pulling out the stops for a marathon weekend.

I wear these sandals almost every day because I really think they are curing my plantar fasciitis. My heel feels better than when I wore closed shoes with my orthotics in them. Plus they're really cute and I get compliments on them often!

i am a runner and biker...this is a great thong to wear after a run and provides great support...the solid black color coordinates with just about anything i could throw on. this is my first pair and IF they ever wear out, which rumour indicates they dont, i will quickly purchase another pair!
