If you are going to be camping anywhere that allows open fires, and you don't mind a little extra weight, the Sven-Saw is must. Forget your wire saws, hatchets, axes, and folding straight saws. This really is a proper fold up bowsaw with all the advantages thereof. In the Boundary Waters the Sven-Saw has allowed me to cut all the firewood I needed in just a few minutes (and even leave a nice little stack for the next campers). Definately worth the price and likely the weight when canoeing or any kind of base camping (fishing, hunting).
