The first-of-its-kind hydration system, the Camelbak Shredbak is a wearable hydration system included in your clothing for any winter activity. With a 72-ounce bladder integrated into a mid-layer vest, the Shredbak keeps your liquids from freezing by utilizing the warmth of your body temperature. Without the bulk and heft of a pack, this wearable hydration system stabilizes water weight for an optimized riding fit all wrapped into its low profile design.

The vest of the Shredbak is two-way water-resistant and fleece-lined for warmth, and features a chest pocket for easy storage of the bite valve. The vest can be worn with or without the water reservoir.

Comments about CamelBak Shredbak 72 oz Wearable Hydration Pack (Men's):

This is a great system from Camelbak & I got a great price on it as well from this retailer for [$] during a sale. I had seen this around and didn't really know 'how' it would improve my current collection of other Camelbak's & regular water bottles, but I was surprised. First off, the softshell vest can be worn by itself, as the bladder fits into a small, 'inner' vest that attaches inside the softshell. This is nice because you aren't 'stuck' with having to always use this as a hydration system. Also, if you just want to wear the inner, mesh mini-type vest that holds the 72oz reservoir, you can do that as well. I have found that on really hot days in the summer, I can just wear this alone under my cycling jersey & I don't have to wear a backpack style water carrier. This saves a TON of weight & keeps you from feeling like you have extra weight way-off of your back, as it sits right against your back. Another good thing about this is if you go for a long run, most hand-held bottles only hold about 20oz, and this thing holds 72oz. I can fill up a bottle with an energy mix & just water in the vest part. Best of both worlds, imho. And if you use it as designed (reservoir IN the outer vest), it's also good for the slopes because, again, your water is inside your vest and not in an extra bag you have to keep up with. All in all, I love this system and can really configure it, thanks to the inner vest/reservoir holder, for pretty much anything I'm doing & need water. Even if I just want the reservoir to put in a larger daypack, I can do that. It's like a 3-in-1 jacket I guess, as it's a jack of all trades. For the price, if you can catch it on sale, I'd say buy one. [$] is a bit steep, probably $125 is a better price, so if you find one around that, go for it.
