Bought for my 2 year old to wear on the mountain bike. She was constatnly losing her sippy cups on the rides. Also got it for our Kayak trips. I worried it might be too big for her but she LOVES it. Wore it around the house for 2 days just for fun :) I give it 2 thumbs up!!

Got this pack for my son for use on our hikes. It fits him great and hold more water then see us need us needing for day hikes and outings. I like the fact it has enough storage for him to carry a poncho and a few snacks of his own. It is easy enough for him to put on himself and use at 6 years old. It also uses the large opening fill port so you can clean it easy and add ice to the water.

I bought these for my sons so that they could carry their own water on hiking and camping trips. There is a small snack pouch, a larger cargo pouch for a small toy or a larger snack or sandwich. The pack itself is sized nicely so that it is not too big on my 4 year old, and not too small on my 6 year old. Each shoulder strap has a holding loop to keep the hydration tube on that specified shoulder. We tested them the first week we had them with a 3 hour hike. It holds enough water that even my thirstiest child did not drain it by the time we got back.

We purchased these mini mules for our 7 and 11 year olds. We hiked on average 10-15 miles per day at Glacier National Park and the Tetons. It did not hold enough water to keep even our 7 year old hydrated. I wish I would have bought the adult size for both of them. It would be fine for younger kids probably in the 3-5 year range.

I got two of these, one each for my kids ages 4 and 6. They LOVE them. They hold so much stuff, and all their own water. They both think they are in training... just like Mommy.
Be sure that where ever you go has adequate bathroom facilities, or places to 'go', because they will be drinking a lot more than usual just because of the 'fun' factor.
Easy to clean, easy to fill, easy, easy, easy.
