The Day Star Hydration Pack by Camelbak is exclusively for women, with a curved harness that fits your body and a sternum strap positioned for stability and comfort. 70oz of water volume keeps you hydrated for 2-3 hours on the trail, sightseeing, or just getting through your busy day. An Air Mesh harness with Velvetex lining allows for excellent ventilation and comfort with a full zip access to the water reservoir that makes loading easy.

This pack is great! (Obviously I'm reviewing for the 2011, but it only has the 2008 listed on this page.) I just received it, so I have not had an opportunity to test out the reservoir system yet. I'm really excited to try the new antidote bladder. I bought this pack because I will be moving to a new city this summer from my college town, and because I also am planning a couple of hikes, camping trips, and music festivals. I'm planning on using the pack (which is spacious enough to hold my 15-inch Mac book Pro! - although I wouldn't carry it every day, it's a tight fit) as a daily carry purse -- I love the low profile, the fact that it lays very close and fits very well -- it makes me feel more secure to carry my wallet, cell phone, keys, etc, on my back close to me than on a free hanging purse dangling from my hip. I will carry my camelbak bottle when I'm just using the pack to go to work, and I now have an awesome bladder to use when I go on hikes or to festivals. The color (blue) is so cute it will work walking or biking around the city as well as outdoors. Best purchase I've made in a long time! This is my first camelbak pack with a bladder and I'm so glad I finally have one.

I have used this for short 2 hour hikes, as well as my two 15 mile adventures up Long's Peak (12 and 9.5 hour trips) in Estes Park, CO. The pack held all of the food I needed, as well my extra clothing (started out in a few shirts plus a warming windproof jacket; ended up in a tank top by the run home). Although you can stuff a lot in the pack, it does not look that big, and collapses well when it only has water in it. It also has nice little compartments for you cellphone, etc. This pack is very comfortable, holds enough water even for longer hikes, and holds up well even through some bush-whacking. The water flows easily through the tubing, and is easy to clean out and dry after the hike. So happy with this purchase!

I bought this backpack for everyday use. I carry all the neccesities which no longer includes a water bottle. I love it. But it would also be well suited for a hike or bike ride.
