Comments about Books and Calendars Chatt Steel Climbing Guide:

didn't know this book existed before we got to TN. it had excellent photos that were crucial to helping us find routes and more current info than the dixie cragger's atlas (which is also very useful). this is the best guidebook to have for the area. couldn't have climbed without it.

Comments about Books and Calendars Chatt Steel Climbing Guide:

If you have been using the other guide here in the SE.. you are going to be blown away. This book generously uses the wideangle photos to give you a complete view of the routes. This book makes me want to climb- with all of the pictures and somewhat wordy route descriptions. Only one kind of author can get that lengthy on a route description.. one that has actually climbed the route. In my brief time with an advanced copy I realized that the bar for guidebooks in Chattanooga has been set quite high. Really.. Chattanooga is a world class climbing destination..why shouldn't it have a world class guidebook.

Yeah, it's pretty insane how much detail there is. They even have photos of "driving landmarks" for the hard-to-find places!
