Comments about BlueWater Ropes Brake Bars:
The brake bars that I purchased when I first started climbing (in the 1970's) fit onto the the gate and closed over the spine of the oval carabiners that I had (and still have) making a single 'biner and brake bar a compact rappel device. With these brake bars I had to buy a rapell rack to accomplish the same thing.
