The Trail Shock Trekking Poles by Black Diamond are the ninjas of hiking poles, with its super quiet shock absorbing system that allows all the shock to be taken in without a sound.  A patent pending system called, Control Shock Technology is a four stage shock process that absorbs light strikes and heavy hits without pogo rebounding or bottoming out.  Dual FlickLocks allow the Trail Shock to be extended or retracted while in the middle of hiking and stays stable no matter what terrain you encounter.

The Trail Shock is perfect for anyone who is carrying heavy weights while hiking or trekking.

Way easier to adjust that those twist kinds. Haven't noticed if shock dampening worth it.
