The Alpine Carbon Cork Poles by Black Diamond are new for this season and are made to be super lightweight and ultra compact for trekking and backpacking. Poles are a necessity when carrying heavy loads on steep terrain helping to take weight of your joints. With the Double Flicklocks on the stem of the pole you can elongate or shorten with a flip of the switch and doesn't loosen up at all letting you have full confidence the poles will stay where the are put.
Cork handles add extra comfort and allow you to really feel the handle helping to place better and more efficiently.

If you want a lightweight hiking/backpacking pole this is it.It may be have a high price tag but if you value your body and the ease of adjusting these poles is great on the fly.
