Comments about Astral Buoyancy Co. Green Jacket PFD:
I have had my Green jacket for over a year and it has treated me well. It is a good product, but i do think it could be better. I have had many problems with the bottom side zippers. They would never stay closed and were a little awkward to use. but i believe Astral has corrected that problem since i made my purchase. As for durability the jacket is very great. Mine has endured lots of use as well as lots of uv rays and everything is still holding up strong. After all the use i have put threw it it may not look good but it still floats well. And that is what matters.

Comments about Astral Buoyancy Co. Green Jacket PFD:
This is my second PFD, and my first real whitewater PFD. The fit is great! Range of motion is great - I often forget I am wearing it. It hasn't ridden up yet, and I typically swim at least once per trip.
My only gripe is that the two zipper pockets are kind of small and feel like they are way back around on the side and a little hard to get to. I don't carry much stuff, so this is ok. I know this is a rescue PFD, and I don't rescue now, but I wanted something I could grow into.
I haven't found the handwarmers that the ad mentions, and they are wrong about side entry into the vest, unless they have come out with a new iteration.
One thing I could see people complaining about is that it is a pull-over PFD. This requires that you loosen all the adjustments to put it on and take it off. There are 8 adjustment straps (three per side, two on the front for torso length) and the rescue belt.

Comments about Astral Buoyancy Co. Green Jacket PFD:
I have consistently had problems finding a PFD that fits me. They are either too small and I can't breathe or too large and ride up to my chin in a swim. I am 5'11" and weigh 215 and have a little bit of a paunch. I have to admit I was advised to get a L/XL Green Jacket, which I did. I found it too big for me, with the adjustment straps and QR belt flopping out. So I sold it and got a M/L. WOW! The fit is perfect! It is absolutely the most comfortable PFD I have ever owned. Plus, it is highly adjustable, especially in the length. My only objection is the cherry dongle on the QR buckle is a little hard to locate; I'd hate to have to get it in an emergency! But all in all, I can't possibly recomend this PFD more highly. Don't hesitate, GET ONE. If possible, try it on to make sure you get the correct size. I am pretty chunky and the M/L works fine for me.
