Attiva GTX Boot (Women's)
Product Number: 21922
The Attiva GTX Boot by Asolo is a fully waterproof/breathable boot that offers exceptional comfort and support in a lightweight package. Designed with stability in mind with its Active Heel Support that uses a high and low density thermoplastic urethane materials that gives you excellent heel control and shock absorption for long days on the trail. A seam sealed Gore-Tex lining protects your feet on wet trails and a wicking nylon absorbs and gets rid of excess moisture so you can get dry faster.
For extra comfort Asolo added scree tongues and padded ankle cuffs to protect your feet from debris and unexpected roots while the rubber toe bumpers keep impact and abrasion to a minimum.
The Asoflex supports give you torsional stability and control so you won't roll your ankle or become unbalanced while navigating harsh terrain.

Comments about Asolo Attiva GTX Boot (Women's):
I really like these boots. I have wide feet, and these were the only ones that fit without pinching anywhere (I was able to wear them straight out of the box with no problems). I would say they're perfect, except for the traction issue. Very good traction when on a dry surface; however, I had traction problems on wet surfaces (wet leaves, wet rocks, moss growing on rocks). Other than that, excellent boots. Also, the price at Rock Creek was by far the lowest, and I did a lot of comparison shopping.

Comments about Asolo Attiva GTX Boot (Women's):
I bought my regular shoe size and I was/am determined to get every penny's worth of comfort and use out of these boots. Be sure not to lace them too tightly in the toe area- if you do you'll find that they press horribly directly atop your toes with each step. I was so glad to discover that simple fix. They are very light and breathable. After several miles, my feet were still cool. In the rain and puddles - completely dry too. Still breaking them in, they feel a little tight in the toes but I tried on a half size larger and that was just too much boot. Overall pleased. Hoping to break in fully before Fall

Comments about Asolo Attiva GTX Boot (Women's):
I bought these boots for SAR work, and they are really very comfortable and give great traction and support in off-trail applications.
I tried on many pairs of boots and ultimately could not decide between a pair of leather Zamberlan's and these Asolo's, but Rock Creek's amazing price made up my mind in favor of these lovely boots. I am not at all dissappointed with my choice.
There was no break-in period, they are comfortable right out of the box. I wear a mid-weight wool hiking sock with silk liners, and have had no discomfort at all. During our last practice it rained very hard, and the boots kept my feet nice and dry.
So far, I heartily reccomend this product.
